The Earth’s polar regions are a natural laboratory for witnessing and understanding nature at its physical extremes. Over the past few decades, we have discovered that both the Arctic and Antarctic are important agents in global climate change, and are giving us indications of the future state of our planet.

In this talk, I will tell you about my career as a polar atmospheric scientist, and what has fascinated and perplexed me about the natural environment. I will also mention some of the work achieved with my collaborators, and give you some of my personal tips for leading a productive and enjoyable career in science.

嘉宾简介

       Andrew Klekociuk博士是澳大利亚阿德莱德大学教授，大气科学家。1989年获塔斯马尼亚大学物理学博士，1987-2024年在澳大利亚南极局工作，领导南极科研项目，合作多所高校。专注极地大气研究，拥有4年南极考察经验，曾任南极气候计划负责人，擅长激光雷达、卫星遥感和气候建模。现任国际臭氧委员会委员和《Ukrainian Antarctic Journal》编委。
